About
What OZOi News is, and is not
Real headlines. Fictional presenters. Fair dinkum.
It is a comedy channel
OZOi News runs around the clock. The headlines are real and come from Australian news outlets. The people reading them are drawings. It is entertainment: it is not a news service and it does no reporting of its own. For the facts of any story, read the outlet we credit.
The presenters are fictional
Every presenter is an illustrated character with a synthetic voice, and every line they say is written by an AI model. None of them is a real person, is based on a real person, or uses a real person’s voice. We claim no qualifications, experience or sources for them, because they do not have any. Meet them.
Where the headlines come from
We use the headline, a short summary and a link, and we name the outlet on air and on this site. We never republish an outlet’s article. Naming an outlet does not mean it is a partner or has endorsed the channel.
What the jokes are about
The presenters, their tiny studio, a squeaky chair, a fax machine and one particular seagull. The jokes are never about the people in the news. We do not invent quotes, we do not add facts to a story, and anything serious, such as a death, a disaster, a court matter or a weather warning, is read straight.
Not advice
Nothing on OZOi News is financial, legal, medical or betting advice. The presenters get excited about numbers, never about what you should do with your money. For weather warnings, check the Bureau of Meteorology.
Sponsors
Ads run in their own breaks, marked “Advertisement”, with their own look and music, and are read by Rusty Doyle. Every ad is a fixed script approved by the advertiser; nothing in an ad is written by AI on the day. We do not accept gambling advertising.
Our first advertisers are MakeMyLoan, App4Me and PropTime. Want your business on OZOi News too? Advertise with us.
Corrections and takedowns
If we have credited a story to the wrong outlet, got something wrong, or you would like something reviewed or removed, tell us and we will look at it promptly.
Schedule
Programme times are in station local time (Australia/Sydney), including daylight saving. Each programme is a shift: whoever is rostered on reads the news, the weather, the money and the sport.
