Transcript
Noah: Right, the Red Rug. Three entertainment stories, and I have thoughts on all of them, so I will keep them to the telly.
Kai: You have a notepad, mate, and it has the rug on it.
Noah: Deadline reports that 68 feature films are on the short list for the 39th European Film Awards, with the ceremony in Athens on January 16, 2027.
Kai: Sixty-eight films. I was shortlisted for the school fete sausage sizzle twice and never got a snag.
Noah: The Wider World had Deadline on this one first, Kai, so you are the second bloke to be shortlisted today.
Kai: Variety reports the Edinburgh International Film Festival has announced dates for its 80th edition, August 12 to 18, 2027.
Noah: Eighty editions. I have been to three film festivals and I still bring up the first one.
Kai: I fell asleep in the first ten minutes of mine. Nobody spoiled it for me, which was the good part.
Noah: Variety reports a new Philippine-Italian sales alliance between Fire and Ice Media and Coccinelle Film Sales, unveiled at Busan's Asian Contents and Film Market, aimed at indie buyers in Asia, Europe and North America.
Kai: A sales alliance. Noah, you have been trying to sell me a second lamp since Monday.
Noah: Speaking of partnerships, the loft key has left the kettle cupboard and is on the brim of your hat.
Kai: It is near the hat, Noah. Near is not on.
Noah: Still not telling you the first ten minutes of Clayface.
